ABOUT OMHS
OMHS has more than 10 years’ experience supporting individual clients with mental health conditions in their return-to-work.
Having completed research through the University of Sydney into the area of mental health recovery back to work, we have now developed evidence informed programs aligned with our findings and the critical factors involved in supporting mental health recovery and a sustainable return-to-work.
Our Story
Occupational Mental Health Specialists was established in December 2015 by Fiona Green to support individual clients on Income Protection with mental health conditions in their mental health recovery and return-to-work. This has expanded to include Occupational Rehabilitation, Psychological Services, Business and Executive Coaching and Consulting to organisations on occupational mental health.
Having completed research through the University of Sydney into the area of mental health recovery back to work, we have now developed evidence informed programs aligned with our findings and the critical factors involved in supporting mental health recovery and a sustainable return-to-work.

OMHS LEADERSHIP
Fiona Green
Director
Clinical Psychologist and Rehabilitation Consultant, Fiona Green founded a boutique consultancy, OMHS.
Fiona Green is a Clinical and Coaching Psychologist and experienced Rehabilitation Specialist. She has worked in both private practice and occupational rehabilitation for over 20 years. She is also an accredited Work Cover Psychologist and a fellow member of the Clinical College of the Australian Psychological Society.

Fiona has researched and published in academic journals in the area of recovery back to work after a mental health condition and is passionate about the bridge from psychological treatment back to work and about the prevention in relapse.
Fiona consults to a wide range of organisations including life insurance companies, government departments, financial, banking, manufacturing and construction organisations.
Fiona is currently finalising a PhD to research the critical factors for a sustainable return-to-work following a mental health condition. She regularly presents at conferences educating in best practice approaches to mental health management at work, psychological treatment, occupational stress and bridging back to work following a mental health condition.
Melicia Weitsz
PSYCHOLOGIST and EXECUTIVE CAREER CONSULTANT
Melicia Weitsz is a registered psychologist and executive career consultant. She has extensive experience in career counselling and managing large outplacement and career transition projects (from set up to launch and finalising programs) including Qantas and state government departments.

Given the emotional issues faced by participants such as anxiety, fear and grief, having dual skills in counselling and career coaching is useful in helping participants move forward. Her project management skills are also beneficial in providing flexibility to programs.
Melicia has previous experience as a human resources manager and has held senior executive roles in large organisations. This gives her superior knowledge in the challenges organisations face in relation to the growing mental health trends.
Over the past eight years, Melicia has worked for OMHS in the Life Insurance sector assisting claimants in making positive adjustments back to work through rehabilitation counselling, career transition and job maintenance coaching.
