ABOUT EAP
WHAT IS AN EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM?
An Employee Assistance Program (EAP) provides confidential, professional counselling to employees.

- EAP counsellors have experience with a wide range of issues including:
- All counsellors have tertiary qualifications and are professionally supervised.

EAP Program Delivery
Delivery of the EAP Program may be:
- Individual face-to-face
- Telephone call
- Video conference – OMHS operates on a secure confidential Video conference platform
- Onsite counselling at company site
- Groups sessions at an agreed venue
ACCESSING EAP
The first step is for a company to set up an Employee Assistance Program for their staff with OMHS.
Hereafter, employees contact OMHS directly for EAP counselling.
EAP PROGRAMS AND RELATED SERVICES
1. Management Consultation
A professional coaching and mentoring service provides assistance to workplace managers for work-related or personal problems. Program is operated through self-referral or supervisor referral.
The program is delivered by registered psychologists experienced in mentoring and coaching.
2. Coping Post COVID-19 Program
Coping with COVID-19 Program has been created to assist in identifying an individual’s experience of COVID-19, with their personal current challenges.
The 10- hour Program includes meeting with a professional consultant for an initial assessment, formal questionnaires for objective measurement and development of a Wellbeing Plan to assist recovery and formal recognised assessments to better understand the clients’ current circumstances. These assessments may include anxiety, general health and alcohol audit. The results are addressed with the client in one-one meetings with the intention to develop a formal Wellbeing Plan to assist recovery.
